New collectors often ask us what the best vintage Rolex sports watch to begin with is…well here it is! The Rolex Submariner 5513 is the archetype vintage Sub. This dial version is the very first matte finish dial that Rolex mounted into the 5513 following the gilt glossy dials. The matte meters-first dial is in lovely crisp condition and it has adopted a warm yellow patina on the hour plots that matches the hands beautifully. The case is still strong all round. The insert is in excellent shape and the steel bezel ring has aged gracefully over time.  This is a great value and iconic Rolex – wear it and have fun!
