The 8.0 Alpine Classic is a versatile half rope perfect for wandering multi-pitch trad routes.

It is part of Mammut's overhauled rope range and is demonstrating its strong eco-credentials, the Alpine Classic is based on the popular Mammut 8mm Phoneix.

The skinny diameter and light weight combine to make them lovely ropes to handle and climb with. Though care should be taken to use an appropriate belay device, most common grooved models work well e.g. Petzl Reverso, Black Diamond ATC, DMM Pivot.
